    Reproductive System Dysfunction covers a broad class of problems including infertility, abnormal sex drive, menstrual and menopausal problems, impotence and prostate problems, and pain or discomfort in the pelvic area (which may include infections and external irritation of the genitalia).  This scale is intended as a general screening tool to identify potential pathology or involvement of reproductive dysfunction in systemic syndromes.  Special attention should be given to specific items of this scale with regard to therapeutic options.

 
MANUAL THERAPY

    Manipulation, especially to the lower spine may be helpful to improve nerve functioning and circulation to the reproductive tract.  Traditional osteopathic treatments were often recommended by Edgar Cayce and are described in the Early American Manual Therapy collection.
 

PACKS AND HYDROTHERAPY

    The following packs and hydrotherapies were often recommended by Edgar Cayce for reproductive system dysfunction:

• Hot Epsom salts packs over the lower abdomen and lower back for acute menstrual pain,
• Hot and cold sitz bath alternated for pelvic pain,
• Abdominal castor oil packs and colonic irrigation to improve eliminations and decrease pelvic pressures,
• Atomidine and Glyco-thymoline douches to cleanse the reproductive tract,
• Aloe and myrrh sitz/fume baths for infections and irritations to the genitalia.

ELECTROTHERAPY

    The use of the Radial Appliance was often suggested by Edgar Cayce for reproductive system dysfunction.  The appliance was recommended to balance the circulation and increase relaxation.
